Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 & Warzone Patch Notes — Season 4

Date: June 4, 2026

Season 4 is one of the most structurally ambitious CoD updates in recent memory. The headline gameplay change is a "classic" multiplayer moshpit playlist that completely removes omnimovement, sliding, and wall-jump abilities — essentially turning Black Ops 7 into a Black Ops 2-style movement experience. Whether this becomes a permanent fixture depends on community reception, but it's a direct response to years of player feedback about movement creep in the franchise.

On the weapon side, the SG-12 shotgun caught a meaningful nerf after dominating close-quarters engagements since Season 3. Warzone gets a new self-revive kit, Fortune's Keep returns with refreshed locations and updated buy station placements across other maps, and Zombies adds the new Rogue Run game mode alongside the continuing Operation Wall Breaker campaign mission. Five new and remastered multiplayer maps round out the content drop.

The anti-cheat story is the one worth watching. Microsoft Azure Attestation checks are now enforced on PC — players who don't complete the attestation process are restricted to Nuketown 24/7 in multiplayer and Battle Royale Casual in Warzone. The matchmaking pool for non-attested players is described as "small," which effectively means you need to pass the check to have a normal experience. This is the most aggressive anti-cheat enforcement step CoD has taken to date.

Fortnite Patch Notes — Chapter 7 Season 3: Runners (v41.00)

Dates: June 5 (Shattered live event) and June 6 (Season 3 launch)

Chapter 7 Season 2 ended with the Shattered live event on June 5 — a first-of-its-kind experience where players saw the event unfold differently depending on whether they sided with Team Foundation or Team Ice King during the season-long Showdown rivalry. After extended downtime, Chapter 7 Season 3: Runners went live on June 6.

The new season delivers one of the biggest map overhauls since the Zero Point events. Three new named locations arrived — Cluster Coast, The Zero Point, and Heatwave Harbor — alongside a tropical biome reshaping the island. Sprites return after their long absence, providing buffs like healing, shields, and movement speed when collected through gameplay actions like opening chests. Two new weapons join the loot pool: the Bank Shot Pistol and Shock Rocks. A Bus Exfil mechanic is planned for later in the season, giving players a small chance to reboard the Battle Bus and win the match outright.

The Runners Battle Pass mixes new characters with returning fan favorites, including Doctor Slone's return following the Shattered storyline. The season runs through August 21 with at least four major updates planned.

Subnautica 2 Patch Notes — Hotfix 3

Date: June 1, 2026

Unknown Worlds continues its post-launch hotfix cadence with the third patch since Early Access launched on May 14. The technical headline is a DLSS upgrade to version 4.5, which also fixed crashes caused by DLSS, settings not saving correctly, and Frame Generation not being available in certain game versions. For players on NVIDIA hardware who were experiencing instability, this patch should make a noticeable difference.

On the gameplay side, creature behavior received another round of tuning. Nibbler perception range was reduced so they don't detect players from as far away. Hammerheads no longer attack unpiloted Tadpoles — a fix that stops them from destroying your parked vehicle while you're exploring on foot. Marrowbreach damage was adjusted. Interior Wall costs were slashed to one quarter of the previous price, which directly addresses community feedback about base-building feeling too resource-intensive in the early game.

Unknown Worlds published a June 4 dev vlog announcing a shift from rapid hotfixes to a larger EA1.1 update expected in the coming weeks. This signals that the emergency triage phase is ending and the team is moving into planned feature development.

Battlefield 6 Patch Notes — Cairo Bazaar Map Drop

Date: June 4, 2026

Phase 2 of Season 3: Warlords: Supremacy arrives with Cairo Bazaar, a reimagining of the classic Grand Bazaar map from Battlefield 3. The map joins Railway to Golmud (which launched with Season 3 on May 12) as the second new map of the season. Cairo Bazaar is a free content update for all players — no battle pass purchase required. The Season 3 rollout continues with Phase 3 (Blastpoint) on June 9 and Phase 4 (High-Value Target) on June 30.

Guild Wars 2 Patch Notes — June 2, 2026 Update

Date: June 2, 2026

ArenaNet pushed a PvP-focused balance patch alongside a Summer Game Fest celebration event. On the balance side, Napalm's total power coefficient was reduced from 3.5 to 2.8 in PvP only. Equal and Opposite Reaction's internal cooldown was increased from 1 second to 5 seconds in PvP only, and Bunker Down received a fix for a trait that prevented it from functioning correctly.

The Summer Game Fest celebration runs June 2 through June 21, boosting experience gain, magic find, and competitive reward track progress. Players can earn a new Guild Warrior Shoulder Skin and Guild Warrior Cape Skin by completing events across Tyria. A chat log bounce bug when receiving new messages was also fixed, along with event timer issues in the "Clear enemies from the ruins" meta-event.
