Diablo IV Patch Notes — Patch 3.1.0 / Season 14: Season of Death Awakening

Dates: June 30 (Patch 3.1.0) + Hotfix 1 (June 30) + Hotfix 2 (July 1)

This is the patch that resets everything. Season 14 isn't just a seasonal theme swap — it rewrites how Mythic Uniques work, adds a competitive ladder, introduces a solo mode, and reshuffles the entire class tier list. Patch 3.1.0 is the largest Diablo IV update since Lord of Hatred launched in April.

The headline mechanic is Pandemonium Ruptures — arcane rifts tearing open between Sanctuary and Pandemonium across the map, appearing most frequently inside Helltide zones. You kill guardians around a Death's Head Idol to open a Rupture, then sustain it as long as possible to escalate rewards. Three sizes exist: Normal (small, overworld), Surging (medium, replacing a local event inside Helltide), and Colossal (large, exclusive to the Fields of Desecration).

Mythic Unique 3.0 is a complete itemization overhaul. Mythic is now a quality tier that any Unique can reach — every Unique gets two guaranteed affixes, and you can enchant Mythics with always-max-roll affixes. You craft them using Pandemonium Fragments in the Horadric Cube at level 70. Solo Self-Found mode launches with no trading and no parties, featuring its own dedicated SSF Tower leaderboard. The Tower exits beta alongside a full leaderboard system. The Corrupted Reaper is the new seasonal lair boss.

Class balance was sweeping. Sorcerer's Fundamental Release damage jumped from 10% to 30% (stacking to 90%), making it the biggest winner. Druid's Scythe Talons crit chance doubled from 5% to 10%. Barbarian took the biggest hit — Berserker's Crucible elite damage was cut from 30% to 10%. Hotfix 1 on launch day reduced Uber Mephisto's on-kill XP and added experience orbs to Uber Mephisto's Hoard. Hotfix 2 on July 1 deployed a Battle.net security update.

Overwatch Patch Notes — June 30 Community Crafted + July 1 & 2 Hotfixes

Dates: June 30 (Community Crafted launch), July 1 (hotfix), July 2 (hotfix)

The Community Crafted event runs June 30 through July 13, featuring a completely custom 5v5 arcade mode designed by community creators Guxue, Apply, Ocie, and mL7support. The hero changes in this mode are some of the wildest Overwatch has ever shipped — even if they're limited to the arcade.

Sombra received a full rework for the mode: Virus no longer breaks Stealth (she's revealed for 3 seconds instead), and final blows reduce Virus cooldown by 4 seconds. Reaper's Death Blossom now extends by 1 second per kill and Wraith Form extends by 1 second per soul orb collected. Tracer's Pulse Bomb can now be shot off stuck enemies (150 damage detaches it) with a 3-second fuse and 7-meter radius. Reinhardt gains 8% movement and attack speed for every 100 HP lost — turning him into a berserker at low health. Roadhog's Chain Hook now pulls Roadhog to teammates if it connects with an ally. Winston's Jump Pack can be activated twice per leap and his Barrier deploys on a second button press.

Vendetta's Whirlwind Dash now pulls enemies in instead of pushing them out, and Sundering Blade hits behind as well as in front. Ramattra's Void Barrier was given permanent duration. Orisa received a mobility rework with a charging Fortify and upward flight on Javelin Spin. The July 1 hotfix fixed Shion's Execution during reload. The July 2 hotfix reduced Community Crafted challenge requirements across the board.

The Sims 4 Patch Notes — June 30, 2026 Quality of Life Update

Date: June 30, 2026

EA delivered a major Quality of Life update touching core game systems. Autonomy received changes that will affect how Sims behave independently — most notably, Sims will no longer obsessively view Frog or Insect collections (including the Noble Frog), addressing one of the community's longest-running complaints about autonomous behavior loops.

Create A Sim received fundamental changes that may affect mod compatibility. EA warned players to check that mod creators have released updated versions before loading saves. Festival Notifications were added to Gameplay Game Options for all previously released packs, giving players centralized control over event pop-ups. The stuck Sims bug between 2-3 AM was fixed, along with an infinite loading issue when accessing CAS via the Simology Panel, a UI accessibility bug after exiting Build Mode, and a stairs-related Assert error when using the Sledgehammer Tool after buying a Styled Room. Traveling to Community Lots and using Plan an Outfit now correctly returns Sims to the Community Lot instead of sending them home.

Rainbow Six Siege Patch Notes — Y11S2.1

Date: June 30, 2026

Ubisoft pushed the Y11S2.1 mid-season patch alongside a Marketplace and economy update. The patch follows the launch of Operation System Override earlier in the season and incorporates community-driven adjustments based on early player feedback. The Marketplace economy changes address pricing, availability, and transaction systems that the community flagged during the first weeks of the season.

Battlefield 6 Patch Notes — High-Value Target (Season 3 Phase 3)

Date: June 30, 2026

The final phase of Season 3: Warlords: Supremacy is live, closing out what has been Battlefield 6's most ambitious season. High-Value Target follows Railway to Golmud (May 12), Cairo Bazaar (June 4), and Blastpoint (June 9) — four phases across seven weeks of sustained content. Season 4 is confirmed for late July with the return of naval warfare, featuring the brand-new Tsuru Reef (set to be the largest BF6 map ever, surpassing Railway to Golmud) and the legendary Wake Island.

Apex Legends Patch Notes — July 1 Update + June 25 Balance Pass

Dates: June 25 (balance pass) and July 1 (maintenance update)

Two updates bookend the week. The June 25 balance pass — which landed just outside last week's coverage window — delivered focused adjustments heading into the back half of Season 29: Overclocked. The Executioner hop-up received tuning, and Ballistic and Pathfinder saw balance changes based on split 2 performance data.

The July 1 maintenance update arrived at 2 PM PT with no major pre-announcement. It addresses stability issues and edge cases that emerged from the Deathbox Respawn and Chain Healing mechanics introduced with Season 29's launch in May. These mid-season patches are typical of Respawn's approach — quiet drops that fix what the ranked community has flagged without overhauling the meta mid-split.

Deadlock Patch Notes — Unstable Rift Update

Date: ~July 1, 2026

Valve continues iterating on Deadlock's core objective systems. The Urn and King of the Hill events received drastic updates with the addition of a new Unstable Rift mechanic. This follows the complete Soul Urn rework from the May 22 patch and the subsequent balance passes that have been reshaping how teams contest and bank objectives. The Unstable Rift adds another layer of strategic decision-making to already contested map control points.

Rust Patch Notes — July Force Wipe

Date: July 2, 2026

The monthly forced wipe landed on the first Thursday of July as expected, resetting all servers and delivering the accompanying monthly update. Facepunch's June "Upgrade Hard, Raid Harder" update introduced the Mortar and Workbench upgrade system — July's wipe gives every player a fresh start with those systems now fully integrated into the meta. The competitive Rust community treats each monthly wipe as a soft reset for the game's economy and power dynamics.

The Bus Exfil mechanic, teased at season launch, remains on the horizon for a future mid-season update.
