Marvel Rivals Patch Notes — July 7, 9, and 11

Dates: July 7, July 9, and July 11, 2026

Marvel Rivals has been quietly running one of the most aggressive patch cadences in gaming — three updates in a single week isn't unusual for NetEase's hero shooter. The game has pushed patches on a near-twice-weekly schedule since March, and this week continues that rhythm with hero balance adjustments and bug fixes across all three drops. This is the first time we're covering Marvel Rivals in the weekly roundup, and given the consistency of their update cadence, it won't be the last.

Team Fortress 2 Patch Notes — Summer 2026 Update

Date: July 7, 2026

Valve proved once again that TF2 is immortal. The Summer 2026 Update adds six new community-created maps — Dryfield, Camp Saxton, Shorelight, Redwood, Premuda, and Mojave — alongside four new community-contributed taunts available in the Mann Co. Store. New cosmetics arrived via the Summer 2026 Community Cosmetic Case and Summer 2026 Weapons Case, and all cosmetic and taunt cases now grant Summer 2026 Unusual effects instead of their normal effects for the duration of the event (through September 15).

Community fixes were included for the Alternative Medicine Mann cosmetic and an Energy Orb Unusual effect desyncing issue. Tournament medals were added for ozfortress Season 44 and 45, ozfortress Highlander Season 11 and 12, TFCL Alpha Season 2, LBTF2 Highlander Season 9, LBTF2 6v6 Season 25, and FBTF Connecta 2025. Nearly 19 years after launch, TF2 continues to receive substantial seasonal content drops driven entirely by its community.

Diablo IV Patch Notes — Hotfix 3 (3.1.0c)

Date: July 10, 2026

Season 14's third hotfix targets two crashes. A Steam Deck startup crash was fixed — this was preventing some SteamOS users from launching the game entirely since Patch 3.1.0 dropped on June 30. An occasional crash in the in-game shop was also resolved. No balance changes shipped, but Patch 3.1.1 is confirmed for July 14 with the Seasonal Reputation Board, guaranteed Superior Lair Keys from Deathtoll Chambers at high Torment, and up to two Pandemonium Fragment drops from the Corrupted Reaper scaling with Torment level.

Fallout 76 Patch Notes — Mini Season: Summer Sock Hop

Date: July 7, 2026

Bethesda launched the Summer Sock Hop mini-season, bringing themed content and seasonal rewards to Appalachia. The mini-season format — shorter, more focused seasonal events that run alongside the main seasonal content — has become Fallout 76's approach to keeping the game fresh between major updates. The Summer Sock Hop joins a cadence that has kept Fallout 76's community engaged throughout 2026.

World of Warcraft Patch Notes — Turbulent Timeways + Hotfixes

Date: Week of July 6–12, 2026

Turbulent Timeways returned as a limited-time event with the Spawn of Vyranoth mount as the headline reward and six Dragonflight dungeons in the rotation. The July Trading Post went live with a blue-themed collection of cosmetics. Blizzard noted that since the 12.0.5 content update, they've been building on feedback with targeted improvements — recent hotfixes alongside the upcoming Midnight: Revelations changes have addressed rewards, looting, quest experience, and durability loss. The Curse of Ula'tek content update is on the horizon with account-wide UI settings, Auction House improvements, a one-time Profession Knowledge reset, and fixes for common combat and travel issues.

Deadlock Patch Notes — July 8 Update

Date: July 8, 2026

Valve's iteration cadence on Deadlock remains relentless. The July 8 update continues refining the Unstable Rift system introduced in early July and delivers hero balance adjustments based on competitive data from the post-Soul Urn rework meta. Deadlock has shipped patches on a near-weekly basis since March, and the game's systems continue to evolve rapidly as it approaches a wider release.

Fortnite Patch Notes — Chapter 7 Season 3 Hotfixes

Date: Week of July 6–12, 2026

Epic continues iterating on the Runners season with ongoing hotfixes. The Bank Shot Pistol, Shock Rocks, and Sprite mechanics have now been live for five weeks and continue receiving data-driven adjustments. The Bus Exfil mechanic — teased at the June 6 season launch — remains on the roadmap for a future mid-season update. The season runs through August 21 with at least two more major updates planned.

League of Legends Patch Notes — Patch 26.14

Date: Mid-week, July 2026

Patch 26.14 arrives during the final week of MSI 2026 in South Korea (which concludes July 12). This mid-season patch navigates the delicate balance between adjusting the live game and not disrupting the tournament meta — changes are typically more conservative during international competition windows. Champion adjustments and quality-of-life improvements shipped alongside the ongoing Essence Emporium wind-down.

Overwatch Patch Notes — Community Crafted Hotfixes

Date: Week of July 6–12, 2026

The Community Crafted event runs through July 13, and Blizzard pushed additional hotfixes this week to address balance outliers in the arcade mode. The wild hero reworks — including Sombra's Stealth Virus, Reaper's extending Death Blossom, and Reinhardt's berserker mode — have generated significant community engagement. With the event ending this week, the next balance focus shifts back to the competitive ladder heading into the second half of Season 3.

Guild Wars 1 Patch Notes — July 7 Skill Balance Update

Date: July 7, 2026

This is genuinely remarkable. Guild Wars 1 — a game that launched in 2005 — received a massive skill rebalance across five professions. Mesmer saw the most changes with Clumsiness, Conjure Phantasm, Crippling Anguish, Cry of Frustration, Energy Surge, Illusionary Weaponry, and multiple other skills all receiving number adjustments. Warrior changes hit Bull's Charge (duration reduced but movement bonus increased to 50%), Decapitate (adrenaline cost reduced, damage increased), and Primal Rage (completely reworked with new energy cost, duration, and movement values). Ritualist healing skills were buffed across the board. Paragon received Inspirational Speech adrenaline gain buffs and Song of Power/Purification cost reductions. Assassin's Quivering Blade daze duration was doubled.

ArenaNet also fixed a PvP Equipment panel bug that allowed non-PvP items to be customized with incompatible upgrades — a fix addressing what the community calls "60/60 items." A follow-up update will remove invalid upgrades from previously created items. Guild Wars 1 receiving this level of balance attention in 2026 is a testament to both the game's enduring community and ArenaNet's continued commitment to it.
