Marathon — Update 1.0.6.1
Date: April 21, 2026
Bungie's extraction shooter got a focused update targeting item economy and weapon balance. The WSTR combat shotgun took a significant damage nerf — it can no longer two-shot players with blue-tier shields or higher. The slug performance range for both the WSTR and MIPS Slug Converter Mod was also dialed back. On the positive side, Depleted Patch Kits and Shield Charges now stack to 6 (up from 3), Standard Sponsored Kits ship with larger stacks, and recruits drop healing items far more frequently. A regional matchmaking bug routing players into incorrect lobbies was also fixed via hotfix.

Overwatch — April 23 Balance Hotfix
Date: April 23, 2026
A balance hotfix targeting heroes whose win rates dropped further than intended since Season 2: Summit launched on April 14. Sombra got her Translocator cooldown reduced and her health bumped up to 275 total. Mizuki received a fix so enemies can no longer block her Katashiro Return by standing on the start point. On the nerf side, Hazard's Spike Guard builds were reined in, Junker Queen's Royal Bullets got hit across the board (wound damage, healing, bonus damage, and attack speed all reduced), and Ramattra's Ravenous Vortex builds were toned down. Sierra also received a separate hotfix on April 17 buffing her weapon damage and Anchor Drone survivability.

Crimson Desert — Patch 1.04.00
Date: April 22, 2026 (revised April 23 and April 27)
Pearl Abyss continues its aggressive post-launch update schedule with another major patch. The headliner is the new difficulty system — Easy, Normal, and Hard modes are now available in settings. Five new cat pets were added along with a pet accessory slot, and the Abyss Heuklang can now become a pet. Damiane got a new exclusive weapon (Sword of Starlight), while Kliff and Oongka received craftable Tree Branch weapons. The patch also introduced controller and keyboard presets, inventory category tabs, new cooking animations, and improvements to distant scenery rendering. A wave of bug fixes rounded things out.

Black Desert Online — April 23 Patch
Date: April 23, 2026
The big addition is a new Altar of Blood difficulty tier called the 1st Abyssal Illusion. The ongoing barter system overhaul continues with Level 6 and Level 7 trade routes connecting major ports across continents. These new routes offer higher revenue but require longer continental travel. Barter goods can no longer be moved via Transport to preserve the core route-planning experience. Quality-of-life fixes for fishing, tag rotation class updates (Drakania and Guardian), and various bug fixes were also included.

The Rivals and Rockets crossover event with Rocket League also runs through April 30.
